Applied Scientism as State Policy
In proper science, theory’s role is to organize observations according to a coherent model that can produce predictions. These predictions are then used primarily to invalidate the model or some aspect of it, when a discrepancy between theory and model is observed.
So much for “The Science”: theory-only interventions are now state policy. Theory WITHOUT observation. Applied Scientism.
In discussing the new “bivalent boosters” for COVID, and the fact that they have undergone NO human testing, Fauci has this to say:
“It hasn’t been proven in a clinical trial, because we don’t have time to do a clinical trial because we need to get the vaccine out now because we have such a situation throughout the world and certainly in the United States, we’re having 400 deaths per day and up to 5,000 hospitalizations a day,”
Which he prefaced by saying:
“You have every reason to believe that it will be better…”
No, Fauci. You don’t have “every reason”. In fact, you are missing the most important scientific reason for having some expectation about how a system will behave or react: OBSERVATION.
Clearly he tries to justify what is an egregious bastardization of the scientific process by appealing to the claim of emergency. This appeal might have some legitimacy, if the decision was to make such a treatment merely available while providing an overabundance of informed consent that this is an untested intervention.
However, it gets worse (it always does with this POS). He goes on to claim we are headed towards a paradigm in which most people will be REQUIRED to get yearly boosters. Boosters of what? OF whatever they are crossing their fingers real hard about I guess.
Most people. Every year. No time to test it. Systemic immune intervention.
This state policy of applied scientism is an ongoing crime against humanity that this man and his institutional partners are engaged in. I do not believe this is a hyperbolic statement. This is not scientific, this is not reasonable, this is not anything other than a strange kind of modern mysticism.
The attempt to normalize, regularize and FORCE society as a WHOLE into such a regimen rises to the level of one of our greatest systemic risks — as individuals, as a society, as a species.
Applied Science MUST be yoked by OBSERVATION and PRACTICE. Theory-only medical interventions applied at population-scales is as anti-science as it gets.
